Listen Up!: “Beethoven’s Form and Function” Exhibition Now at the Arts Council of Princeton
On Sunday, January 18, Zoe O’Beirne, Jacob Wu, Jonathan Yue, Saumya Malik, and Alex Park attended the Princeton Symphony Orchestra’s concert, Scenic Rhythms. They were taking part in the Orchestra’s annual Listen Up! program, in which students are invited to a PSO concert and then challenged to create visual art and poetry in response to the music. Their paintings and poetry are now part of an exhibition of student responses to Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, and particularly the elements of classical form. The exhibition, Beethoven’s Form and Function, was previewed by PSO audiences at the March 15 concert, and are on display from now through April 9 at the Arts Council of Princeton. Congratulations to our students and their families, and to their teachers, Ms. Hartstein, Mr. Myers and Ms. Huggins!
